Behind the Scene
---------------------------
Actually I have been using this theme for almost two years now. I hope you all like (I like it very, very much) I started working on this theme during the 4th quarter of the year 2001. It took me many months to finish the 3 wallpapers and Litestep theme. First I thought I wanted to finished the icons, WindowBlinds, Winamp, and ICQPlus (and maybe some other skins as well) then release them all at once.

"Whatever you want to do, you have to do something else first"

So after I finished Winamp skin and started working on ICQPlus and I was stuck there for a year. Recently I just finished the ICQPlus skin (May 2003) so I was thinking of upload my "so called new theme." The problem was that I used LSDistro ever since 2001. LSDisto works fine and stable even though it is old but I am happy with it. Since many people now using OTS so I guess it is time for me to move on. When I tried to switch to OTS, with new build of Litestepindiestep whatever, it cause me lots of problems. Things changed a lot in the past two years, moving to OTS made me look like a newbie who never use Litestep before. So I quit

This year I have to important things to do: 1. To ordain as a Buddhist monk for 3 month (it's a Thai culture) and 2. I have to go to the Army, start in Novemberso I thought if I am not finished with the Litestep theme now , you popele will never get to see it in the near future. So it took me the whole day to migrate LSDistro theme to OTSbut I will go back to LSDistro.

About the Theme
---------------------------
This theme is OTS compatible. Within the zip there are 3 wallpapers at the same resolution 1240x1024. So before you use it you have to crop, cut, shrink, scale, convert to bmp, or do whatever you want to make it fits your screen.

There are 1 font file, Haettenschweiler, in misc folder and Winamp skin.

To install, just unzip to

C:\Litestep\themes\

Then use LSTS to change theme. By pressing the "Shift key"+"left click" (by default) to access popuptheme you can configure the system tray and the small panel on the top of the screen. There are 4 modes for the system tray:
1. 8 system tray icons and time (when mouse is over it will display short date)
2. 8 system tray icons and date/time
3. 10 system tray icons and time (when mouse is over it will display short date)
4. 10 system tray icons and date/time

Problem With System Tray
----------------------------------------
I used grdTray3.dll in LSDistro but when switch to OTS grdTray3.dll doesn't work. It crashes every third recycle. So I went back to grdTray.dll (2.3 beta 2) but it doen't work, no icon shown up. The good thing about grdTray is that you can use color effect on the icons. So when grdTray doesn't work I use Systray2.dll instead. Somehow I forget to remove the line loadmodule of grdtray out (litestep loaded both Systray and grdTray) and everything work! :-) The icons shown up and get the color effect. It doesn't crash after the third recycle. I don't know what happened there, since I didn't read anything about grdTray (2.3) I just replaced grdTray3.dll with grdTray.dll and use the same setting. I am sick of fixing this problem. Since I load both SysTray.dll and grdTray.dll and everything seem to be fine I will just leave it like this. So it is now up to you.

Not in the Zip
-------------------------
There are also skins for PowerDVD and ICQPlus. For ICQPlus you can download from www.wincustomize.com and PowerDVD skin at www.gocyberlink.com , look for the name "iBDE".

At www.wincustomize.com also have a wallpaper base on the screen logo of PowerDVD skin (the one on the litestep screenshot) at 1024x768 in blue and green, very nice.
